Time seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye, bringing us once again to the enchanting season of mooncakes. As the memories of last year's incredible season linger, we're truly humbled by your unwavering patience and enthusiasm for our delectable treats. The moment you've been waiting for has finally arrived – we're absolutely thrilled to announce that Mimi's Mooncakes is back and open for business!

Our Flavors

​As always, our traditional Banh Nuong (baked mooncake) has a salted egg yolk in the middle. If you prefer a mooncake without the egg yolk, just let us know, and we'll be happy to offer you a 50 cent discount. Don't forget, Banh Deo (snow skin mooncake) doesn't include egg yolks.

🥮 A Fond Farewell to Taro

Taro enthusiasts, we're truly sorry to break the news that our much-loved taro flavor mooncake won't be making an appearance this year due to challenges in sourcing the required quality ingredients. We know this news might bring a pout or two, but we promise we've got a lineup of other flavors that are just as delicious! Thanks for understanding.

Ordering Details: Act Fast!

Given our busy schedules, we're introducing a slight change this year. Mooncake sales will be open for just ONE week. Here's the timeline:

• September 1st: Pre-orders begin.
• September 15th: Order window closes
• September 25th: Mooncakes are shipped

**WE HAVE A NEW FLAVOR**

Introducing Chocolate Mooncakes

 Baked chocolate outside with red bean filling and a Ferrero Rocher chocolate instead of an egg! These mooncakes are 85g, which are smaller than your standard mooncake (200g). We are selling these for $6/each. These mooncakes are limited while supplies last. 

We're still selling our standard flavors:

BANH NUONG (BAKED MOONCAKES) 

• Thap Cam (Mixed Fruit And Nut, Contains Meat): $12 *vegetarian version available*
• Hat Sen (Lotus Seed): $12
• Dau Xanh (Mung Bean w/ Winter Melon): $11
• Khoai Mon (Taro w/ toasted Sesame Seeds): $11
• Dau Do (Red Bean With Pumpkin Seeds): $11

BANH DEO (SNOW SKIN MOONCAKES)

• Snow skin mooncakes come in the same flavors as our baked mooncakes. 
• Thap Cam and Hat Sen Snow Skin Mooncakes: $11
• All other snow skin mooncakes: $10

***If you do not want a salted egg yolk in your mooncake, let us know. Mooncakes without salted egg yolks are discounted 0.50 cents.***

We are not selling dua (coconut) this year. We could not find quality coconut for the mooncakes due to shortages and we're sorry for any inconvenience! We know that coconut was a favorite flavor for many and hope to bring it back one day; just not this year.

When To Order: 

This season, we will be shipping out mooncakes on the following dates:

• Aug 22th SOLD OUT!
• Aug 29th
• Sept 6th 

Place your order any time between now and August 29th and we will ship it to you on the closest date to your order date. 

Shipping:

We ensure that you will have the most cost effective shipping rates by using either Region A/B boxes or flat rate shipping boxes, depending on your address. 

• Shipping for the Region A box varies from $ 8.5 - 11 depending on the shipping address. It can hold maximum to 12 cakes

• Shipping for the Region B box varies from $10 - $15 depending on shipping address and can hold 15 - 20 cakes.

Each of these boxes will take about two days from the date of shipping to arrive. (Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, USPS shipping may be delayed at times beyond our control)

If shipping for these boxes ends up being more expensive than flat rate shipping because of your address, we will switch to regular flat rate boxes.

• Medium flat rate box $15 and can hold maximum to 15 cakes.

• Large flat rate box $21 and can hold maximum to 27 cakes

How to Pay:

We take payment through Zelle, Venmo, or check. We'll provide you an address after  we confirm your order. PLEASE SEND YOUR PAYMENT TO CONFIRM YOUR ORDER. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR PAYMENT, YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE CONFIRMED AS MOONCAKES ARE SELLING OUT QUICKLY.

Frequently Asked Questions: 

• Is there a minimum order?

No. You do not have to order a minimum amount of cakes with us. Our smallest box, the Region A box, holds up to 12 mooncakes. Shipping will be the same for any order of 12 mooncakes or fewer. We have an option to send you up to six mooncakes in a flat rate padded envelope as well. NOTE: There is a risk the mooncakes will be damaged during the shipping process if shipped in a padded envelope. 

• How long do they last? How can I store them?

Once the mooncakes arrive, you can keep them out on your counter for up to a week. They can be stored in the fridge for one month or in the freezer for up to six months. Reheat frozen mooncakes in the oven or a toaster oven. 

• Do all mooncakes have a salted egg yolk in the middle? 

All baked mooncakes (Banh Nuong) have a salted egg yolk in the middle. The Banh Deo, or snow skin mooncakes do not have a yolk because they are not baked. You can request no egg yolks in any cakes for a 0.50 cent discount. You can also request extra egg yolks for 0.50 cents per extra yolk.
